Creating Automations

Follow this step-by-step guide to set up your very first auto-reply trigger in LinkInfuse.

Step 1: Open the Automation Builder

From your LinkInfuse dashboard, navigate to the Automations tab on the left sidebar.

Click the + Create Automation button in the top right corner. This will launch the visual builder.

Step 2: Define Your Trigger

A trigger is the action that causes LinkInfuse to send a message. You need to configure three things:

  • Source: Choose whether to monitor "Any Post", a "Specific Post", or "Direct Messages".
  • Trigger Type: Choose "Comment" or "Story Mention".
  • Keywords: Type the exact words you want to trigger the automation (e.g., "LINK", "INFO"). Press Enter after each keyword.

Step 3: Craft Your Response

This is the message the user will receive in their Instagram Direct Messages.

Type your message in the text box. Be sure to include your link! If you want LinkInfuse to also reply to the public comment, you can toggle the "Auto-Reply to Comment" option and provide comment variations.

Step 4: Save & Activate

Once you are happy with the setup, give your automation a recognizable name at the top of the builder (e.g., "Summer Promo Guide").

Click Save & Activate. Your automation is now live! Anyone who comments your keyword will receive the DM instantly.
