Instagram Account Fails to Connect

If you're stuck in a loop or getting an error when connecting via Facebook:

  • Verify your Instagram account is set to Professional or Creator. Personal accounts cannot use the official API.
  • Ensure the Instagram account is connected to a Facebook Page where you have Admin access.
  • Go to Facebook settings, remove the LinkInfuse business integration, and try connecting again, making sure to select All current and future Pages/Accounts.

DMs Are Not Sending

If users are commenting the keyword but not receiving DMs:

  • Check if the automation is toggled to Active in your dashboard.
  • Verify the exact keyword was used. Leading/trailing spaces are ignored, but spelling matters.
  • Ensure the user isn't private and doesn't have restrictive DM settings that block messages from non-followers.
  • Check your Connections page to ensure your Instagram token hasn't expired (it requires re-authentication every 60 days).

Rate Limit Errors / Account Safety

If your dashboard shows "Rate Limit Exceeded":

Instagram limits how many automated messages can be sent per hour to prevent spam. If your post went viral, our system automatically pauses execution to protect your account from being flagged or shadow-banned. The queue will resume automatically once it is safe.
